30 minute session: ClassBank Overview PD

The PD session will start by briefly introducing the concept of ClassBank before jumping into a Live Demo. Starting with a Live Demo will help the audience grasp the concept of ClassBank before creating their own teacher accounts.

Materials Needed:

  • Teacher & student account for Live Demo

  • ClassBank Stickers (shoot us a message, and we'll send you some!)

  • The Pedagogy Behind ClassBank Presentation (optional)

  • Laptop

  • Projector

Before:

  • Read through the presentation

  • Make a copy of the presentation and edit as needed for your session

  • Create a demo student account, or have a student’s login information to display during Live Session

  • Email us with the date of your PD for your ClassBank swag

  • Questions or missing some materials? Email [email protected]

Day of:

  • Cue up ClassBank (Teacher account and student account) in separate windows to switch to for the Live Session

  • Email or write on the board the website for ClassBank signup (ClassBank.com)

  • Cue up the Presentation, imagine the audience in their underpants, and GO! You got this :)

45 minute session: Interactive ClassBank PD

The goal of this PD is to introduce teachers to ClassBank, share the real-world benefits of ClassBank for students, and experience ClassBank from the student perspective. Our priority at ClassBank is to prepare students for the real world and show them what it feels like to take ownership of their lives as early as elementary school. This guide will walk you through which ClassBank resources leverage research-based concepts that support the whole student, such as PBIS and SEL.

Materials Needed:

  • PD Presentation (make your own copy!)

  • Jamboard (make your own copy!)

  • Teacher account to share class code and give bonuses and fines

  • ClassBank Stickers

  • Laptop

  • Projector

Before:

  • Preview the Presentation

    • Update with class code (Slide 13).

    • Include any norms for the digital gallery walk or update if you are doing an in-person gallery walk (Slide 16).

  • Create a copy of the Jamboard for a digital gallery walk or create posters if you would prefer to do a physical walk.

  • With your ClassBank account, create a class for this presentation. Don't forget to include:

    • Jobs for presentation: Participant, Time Keeper, Facilitator

    • Bonuses: Great teamwork, active participation, etc.

    • Store items: stickers, candy, lunch with a particular teacher, 15 mins of grading/organizing help, a ride to off-campus lunch pickup, etc.

  • Instruct teachers to bring their computers to the session.

Day of:
